Question

Could anyone tell me if they notice a gearing difference between 205/45/17 and 215/40/17 tyres as I'm upgrading from my 16's

Apparently there's an 11mm drop with 215/40/17's but a greater choice of tyre.

Cheers

Kev

Handy little calculator, that! And is shows there is bugger-all difference between the standard 205/50x16 or larger 205/45x17 and 215/40x17.

In fact, there's more difference between a new tyre and a worn out one.
