Question

Hi,

Many Brake fluid have been recently mentioned…
However, which one would you recommend for an Impreza and why?

Personally I’ve heard that Motul 600 is very good but need to be changed very often because it absorbs moisture very quickly. (Maybe not suitable for street car?) Castrol SRF could be the top but very expensive and can eat seals… (street use?)

What do you use?

Thanks a lot for you help!

Al.

Silkolene Pro Race or AP Lockhead 5.1

Both have the highest wet boiling point of any 24 month fluid and both give the firmest pedal of any fluid we have tested.

Both are widely available. The Silkolene can be found in almost any motorcycle shop.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong - but shouldn't 5.1 only be used with steel/braided lines??

Running AP 5.1 and very happy!

Braided lines aren't compulsory, but you won't get the full benefit of any fluid improvement unless you did fit them.
