The best price I've managed to find for new 215/40 17 Bridgestone SO2 PP has been £129.77, fitted, valve, weights and includes VAT!!
Can I get a better price anywhere else??
I've tried lots of local places, but no one has stock and want between £150 to £200 for one tyre!!
Best so far has been from Mitcheldever at just under £130!!
I need some tyres for the end of the week, as the alloys are being powder coated at the moment!!
Any ideas??
Cheers
Andy

Andy, i doubt very much you will get a better price mate that is about as good as it gets I am afraid, you may be lucky to shave another 1 or 2 quid off but nothing worth writing home about.

Graham,
Did you mention Total Tyres before quoting an amazing price for Goodyear F1s? If so, how did you get that price, it was nothing like what I was quoted?
I phoned Total Tyres along with Micheldever when I was buying 4 x 16" tyres a fortnight ago. Micheldever was the lowest at £106.

The queue at Micheldever on Saturdays depends upon what time you go there. I specifically asked the guy on the phone and he said it's usually busy for the first hour or so then it tails off then it gets a lot busier.
We agreed that 9:30-10am was a good time, I got there around 9:45am a couple of Saturdays ago and waited no more than 20 minutes.
They do seem to be a bit arsey about you moving along in the queue -- why start your engine just to move one car's length when the queue isn't that long behind?!
Anyway, good service, top prices.

Carterton Tyres in Oxfordshire
I do not know the price for SO2's but they were very much cheaper than anywhere else for Toyo T1S (£347 for 4 16" as opposed to about £425 elsewhere) and sell 215/4017 P-Zero's for about £90 +VAT.
I just brought the Toyo's for my 16's and I will see what they have for when I go to 17's.
I don't know if they stock S02's but it is worth a call as they are independent and may source what you need.

Make sure you specify exactly what you want at Micheldever, I got 2 tyres and they hammered those lovely weights on the outside of the wheel, whereas someone else on here got theirs on the inside. They are good though and their geometry setup is very reasonably priced too. I paid £250 for 2x 16" SO2s and the prodrive setup which I thought was quite reasonable.

Managed to haggle a deal with Surbiton Tyre & Battery Service (020) 8397 4046!!
They're up the road from where I work, I'm getting my 17" Speedlines powder coated in graphite, and set of four 215/40 R17 Bridgestone SO2-PP's for the sum of £748(ish!)
The only pain is having to run around on 15" wheels since Tuesday!!
I'm all excited, I go back to 17" wheels in an hours time!!!

I haven't been ijn, but over the phone they said £86 + VAT for the S02 pole position. When I'm ready to get some I'll see what I can do about the cash = no VAT plan.
Do you know them other than as a customer?
