Question

I'm going to need to replace the SO2's on my Terzo in the not so distant future.

Has anyone else bought SO2's recently and how much did they set you back ?

Thanks

B

Buy some Toyo's instead! Much cheaper and many on the BBS feel that they are almost as good as the SO2's.

Just paid £85 (inc) each from Swift Tyres in Whitburn but I think there are several places in Edinburgh that sell them too.

Try searching the BBS for "Toyo".

Just got mine today for £115.74 each, fitting was not included but that ammounts to £1.76 each corner, that was from John McInnes Aberdeen.

Going to fit my new wheels tomorrow , that reminds my, I'd better call Mr insurance man.

For those in East Central Scotland, NTS at Corstorphine in Edinburgh do some good deals for SIDC members.

I got 4 x 205/50 16" S02s fitted, balanced, etc for £430 back in February, way below the prices I was quoted elsewhere locally.

I believe that they can now supply 4 x Toyos at a price well under £400, all in.

Speak to Eddie and remember to ask for the special price for SIDC members .

Regards,

Ian

Thanks for all the responses.

Ian - I'm sure I've managed to get a discount out of Eddie at Corstorphine ATS on Yoko's for my old MX3 using the SIDC name dropping trick I couldn't remember his name though.

Sounds like Eddie may well be the first man to turn to when I need new SO2's. I was hoping to only pay about £400 so £430 deasn't sound too bad.

Anyone know of anyone who can do a set of 16" SO2's at under £400 ?

All, cheapest SO2's in Essex seem to be Jet Tyres on Canvey at £120 all inclusive, any one else know better round this way?

Wink

Blair,

My local garage in Banchory recently charged me £105 a corner fitted and balanced. They reckoned they were still making £30 a tyre. So some of the places quoting higher prices are ripping us off.

Tony?

I've just bought new tyres myself - LANCS area. I was looking for SO2s or Eagle F1s.

Best prices:
SO2s - MotorWay at £108 each
F1s (GS-D2) - National at £79 each

I bought the F1s - surprise surprise

You can apparently get the F1s in their new 'run-flat' design which are able to run at 50 mph with no air cool!

Jacko, Just brought two SO2's from the nice lads at Jet Tyres, they have a good bunch over there on Canvey.

Your not one of the tyre fitters are you?

Anyway Mines the silver K reg on 17" that had the bloody nail in if you are.

I use Toyo Proxes T1S, I was going to get the SO2's but I read that the Toyo's were brilliant, and they are, got them from a distributor in Chelsmford, £75.00 plus VAT fitted. Heartily recommended
