Please could someone tell me what the best combination of discs and pads are for an Sti Type R IV. I can not afford a full kit upgrade at the moment but would like better brakes as the original seem to fade.
P.S When I can eventually afford them will the AP 6 pots fit under 17" OZ SuperTurismo Gold Wheels.
Thanks

Cjen, when you don't do a second or third best upgrade, you save your money and the more quick you do have your AP's, and that's what you really want...

Cjen, PSYG is right in saying that, if you ultimately want the full AP upgrade, take a deep breath and get them now and save the cash you'll waste on doing it bit by bit. I've now got the superb APs, but I wasted £300 on lesser pads and discs along the way.

I don't know what brakes you've got at the moment but if they're 2-potters then you're in for a pleasant surprise whatever you do. Anything is better than them! If it helps, I've got a pair of OEM 4-pot calipers off my MY00 car which you could have. Mail me if that's of interest.

Prodrive do a pad and disc upgrade, through your Subaru dealer. Also EBC discs/pads from Tyres Northampton. If you can stretch to the full APs, call Mike at Scooby Mania.
