Default Tyres???? Needed ASAP

right guys and gals,

i'm in desperate need of getting some tyres. I knew the fronts were'nt good but checked last night and the insides are so worn down on one side the nylon inside the tyre is showing!!

I have 17'' OZ wheels fitted and they came with (probably as a package) Falken 205.45.zr17 tyres, obviously these will be going for good.

Now i've read many posts on here and know i will probably be better of with 215/40x17 as it's a common size and virtually idential rolling radius to OEM 16in tyres. What would you recommend, i dont want to spend a fortune, sorry just not made of money but also dont want a crap set, was thinking of Toyo Proxes T1-S (is that the right type?) or the GoodYear Eagle F1'S, what kind of price can these be got for? Or would you recommend others? I live in maidenhead and work in bracknell and would like to get these fitted tomorrow after ordering today, i'm gonna speak to bracknell tyres and batteries in a mo as they have been very helpful before.

Someone had also recommended mytyres.net, gonna have a look there now.

Cheers people.

Decent prices, mate. You won't find much cheaper.

If cost is an issue, I'd go for the Toyo. I had these before, and no complaints. I have also heard that the Avon (ZZ3?) are now much better than before, but I have no experience with these.

The fave on here seems to be the F1s, but I don't remember there being a huge difference between these and the Toyos.

Currently running F1s.

Spooky! Was just going to write a very similar thread myself, then noticed this one. I work in Winnersh so this has come in very useful.

Stonkin, where abouts in Bracknell are these guys ? I was going to use Total Tyres in binfield (got my crappy S-03s from there last time), but they're quoting £117 a corner for Eagle GSD3s - Are these what you are getting quoted £98 for ?

Cheers
Darren

Cool, cheers for that Stonkin, much appreciated.

Just given them a buzz, so will be getting the S-03s off sometime this week hopefully.
