Question

Anyone know what tyre pressure I should be using on my MY00 4 Door with 17" OZ Super T's with Bridgestone 215/40/17 SO2s?

For what is worth, I run 32psi front and 30psi rear. In conjunction with Leda B set for comfort this give the car (and my back) a compliant, but pretty comfortable ride.

I'm with Q on this one... run 31-32 psig on the front and 29-30 psig on the back, good for tyre wear and fillings :-)

Cheers,

Pat.

I too have OZ SuperTs and SO2s and run 36 front 34 rear. Having messed around with tyre pressures for the last 6 months, this is the best for optimum handling without loosening teeth! Have run as high as 40psi. Wet grip and turn in improved, but ride was compromised, dry grip worse. As soon as pressure gets 3 psi lower, I can feel the handling and sharpness of turn-in greatly deteriorate.

higher pressures will also protect alloys better against pot holes etc!

215/45ZR17s are standard fitment on my Legacy RS. The factory says 2.3 bar front, 2.1 bar rear (which is around 32/29 in old money, if I'm not mistaken). I tend to run 34psi all round for the best compromise of handling and comfort. I find little difference in comfort running 32/29 but the rear feels a lot looser (presumably sidewall movement). I feel every bump in the road if I run much higher than 34psi.
