Nick.
I have just been ringing round myself.
I have been looking for SO-2s or Toyo T1s.
So far I have had a best price of £441.80 from Northampton Tyres and £469.53 from Elites in Essex (local to me) for 4 SO-2s all in.
I had other quotes up to £760!!
I have however, been unable to get a competetive Toyo quote locally.
Neil.

Yes, I hated the SO2's especially the 1.5k miles run-in period. I tried the AVS Sports which I bought in January. They have lasted about 10k of hard driving. The grip levels are not as good as the SO2, but they are very easy to control as they break away allowing you to easily play with 4 wheel slides etc. On the AVS tyres I can approach a roundabout/bend very quickly & then play with the throttle/steering to handle the loss of grip. They are very easy to control. However, on SO2's I would have got around the same bend 5mph faster with no loss of grip.

Nick why don't you try the toyo's or the eagle F1's.
I have recently bought two new S02's(117.5pounds each) and the car is all over the place again I now wish I had rotated the tyres so all four needed replacing at the same time.
