Wink

Needing to fit new discs and pads to my 94 scooby, what do you
recommend? I can get my hands on a full P1 setup (discs and
calipers),But its a bit pricey.Would fitting grooved discs and uprated pads make much difference?

Suggest you search back through here, many options and many opinions!

Your choice depends on track or road use, cost, size of wheels and personal preferences!

Colin,

your best bet would be to find a 2nd hand set of 4 pots from a P1 or 99MY onwards car which has upgraded them. Prices vary from about £325 for a set with used pads, to £400+ for a new set with pads and delivery miles.

You would however need to change the wheels if you still have the original 15 inch rims.

If you do have the 15 inch rims, then something like the grooved discs, uprated pads, steel hoses and better brake fuild will give a noticeable improvment, but wouldn't give you "fantastic" brakes. You only get fantastic brakes by spending £1k+ on one of the top end brake kits.
