Question

Anyone have any info' on cooling ducts, particularly for a 99MY car? Interested in fitting these on my car using the existing openings in the bumper (below the indicators oor the lower openings) in an attempt to reduce brake temperatures. Any companies make these or anyone done a DIY installation?
Thanks

Thanks for the info'. I didn't know that the 98MY had cooling ducts! I'll call the dealer. I thought that the lower openings might be the best place as they appear to have an adapter on the inside? Also saw an advert for a front lip extension which 'retains the original brake cooling openings' (i.e. the lower ones)!

Iain,

How did you go in the quest for braking ducts?

Unhappy

I tried to make up a part that would fit the existing duct slots but couldn't come up with anything that I was happy with. The brake fade is still a problem at high speed but the trade off is good performance and feel for 95% of the time. The discs have cracks as well and the dealer is going to inspect them propoerly at the 1 year service next week. Hopefully they will offer an upgrade.
