Brake Pad sensor.
#1
My '96 Turbot doesn't have a brake pad sensor. I don't know if later models do. But this little sensor probably saved mine and my mates life when we on track in my old car. I didn't know the pads were going because they were fine on the entry to a corner and one blew up shortly after leaving the corner.
The question is : Can sensors be bought and fitted? if so where from?
Thanks,
P.

I have an Impreza MY99 and at the service they 've told me that my car does not have a brake pad sensor also.
BUT when the pad is near the end of its life a soft metal bit comes in contact with the disc (won't scratch the disc) making a very LOOD and distinguishable squeaking noise. Thus you have a crude warning system.
