Front Tyres - Eagles or Toyo's?
Opinions please
I've got an MY98 Sport Wagon.
I've had the car about 6 months and in that period I replaced the rear tyres for a pair of Eagle NCT5's.
I was very impressed with the difference in the car. Now I'm looking to change the front as the currant tyres are a cheapo one and a Bridgestone.
Not massivly confidence inspiring - Particularly through roundabouts!
So, a friend runs a garage and has offered to get me either some NCT5's or Toyos at cost
So, opinions on the two choices
Which is gonna be the best choice?
Another pair of Eagles or a pair of Toyos?
There only 15's btw.

My preference is Toyo Proxes, even in the wet, I found excellent levels of grip.
When I nail it on round abouts for exmple, the proxes on the front seem to dig into the road giving unbelievable traction. Perhaps it's just me and they way my car is set up, I won't use anything else now.

Given the choice fit the Goodyear as Toyo's will only give you a 'Bad year'
Good ehh.
Seriously though Toyo's are dangerous in the wet/damp when pushing it,i would NEVER fit them to any car again.

Ive just fitted Bridgestone S03's, didnt fancy the toyo's and could have had S02's as they had loads in stock, but they were more expensive

I can't comment on the NCTs as I've never used them on a Scoob but I can tell you the Toyos don't suit my Wagon at all, particularly in the wet losing adhesion and generally sliding all over the place.
If I was to recommend a tyre, I'd go for the GSD3s.

Agree Toyos just dont seem to be that good. TSL told me it was the way to go. Guess it all depends on the set up. Goodyears are my next choice although the Toyos do seem to be wearing remarkably well. Never really nail it in the wet anyway although roundabouts are sometimes fun!
