i need to get some new rear disc's and pads,been looking at loads of different sites,but dont understand the difference between vented and solid.also i was wondering about the drum,i take it,its all part of the rear disc!!!
all help appriciated.

Look at the pic , the vented one is thicker , the vented name comes from the vents in the middle , the centre of the discs are the same for both discs

cheers ian,i here your the man to talk to about new discs anyway...i take it that these are solid discs then?





if so do i need to replace them for solid,or can i change them to vented???

The solid discs will de a direct replacement , if you want to fit the vented ones you need to change the calipers to vented ones which are wider to accomodate the thicher discs
