hi all,
just had so2 pp's fitted and have a question.
the tyres don't look quite right to me! there is a "shoulder"just before the tyres meet the rims, both on the inside and outside of wheels.i have never seen a tyre look like this before.
it looks almost like the rims are too wide but they are standard 16" sti wheels.
its hard to explain without a drawing but does anybody know what i mean and is it natural?
cheers

I think the shoulder is there to help protect the rim from damage from curbs etc.
I like 35 psi front and 31 psi back in my SO2's.
Recently I changed the tyres from front to back and ended up with 30psi all round untill I next filled up.Strangly there was more road noise and it seemed to hit bumps harder with the lower pressure in the fronts, the handling was much worse and it felt like it wanted to go strait on in corners. It also tramlined more.
Now its back to 35 psi it feels much better.
The scooby is more sensitive to geom, tyres and tyre pressures than other cars I've owned.

I have a S02 tyres all round on 15" rims 6" wide, can anyone tell me what the best pressures would be for it, I drive mainly on A roads but I do venture onto B's when ever possible.
