I ordered a replacment wheel center cap for my 17" Prodrive / Speedline Mistral wheels 4 months ago from Beachdale Subaru in Derby (no problem with Beachdale who have always given excellent service). Every 4 weeks or so I get a call to let me know that my part is still on back order with Subaru. I contacted Prodrive yesterday and was informed that the center caps are due in around April 15th. That'll be a 6 month wait for a UK supplied car part. Not Happy.

I was told by Prodrive that these wheels are no longer made. I have one that has a crack in which i was trying to replace. Still haven't had any joy in sourcing a replacement so may be able to send you the centre cap. Is there a number on it that i can check to make sure it is the same?

Thanks for the reply GAV.
The part number cast into the cap is SPEEDLINE 766.16.21553.
The email from Prodrive reads as follows: Thank you for your enquiry. Subaru UK do have some mistral cup on
back order these are due to arrive here at Prodrive around the 15
April 2000.

As you can see it could be interpreted as meaning that Subaru have complete wheels on order. Could be worth contacting Prodrive with regard to your need for a replacement wheel.

Will try prodrive again-last time they said these wheels were stopped in 96. If i have no success you are welcome to the center cap (not in the best condition though). I checked that it was the same part number.

There was an advert in the Motoring News last year for a company selling 17" Mistrals at £70ea.

The telephone number in the advert was 0870 900 9800 (asking for Andrew or Garry). Well worth a call as the advert ran for some weeks and they may have some wheels or caps left.( I kept a copy of the advert.)

I've got a brand new spare centre cap, incase I ever lost one. But if their that hard to come by, I'll keep it for now.

Just received the following from Prodrive:

In reply to you e-mail to Prodrive dated the 20 April regarding
the 17" Mistral Caps. We have now been told by our supplier that the
delivery date for these caps is going to be the middle of May. This
being the case they should be with the dealer late May.

Hopfully I will have a new center cap by June - only 9 months after ordering the part!!!

Yes, I know this thread is old, but I've just bought myself som 17" Speedline Mistrals and 1 wheel is missing the centercap/plate(the whole thing inside the red cirkel)).

Can someone help me?
