Help!!! We own a 1996 Impreza Outback with ABS. On several occasions the front brakes have made a clicking/pulsating sound which resulted in the ABS dash light to be indicated. What might cause this condition: brake dust, low brake lining or faulty sensors.....or other? Any help appreciated. Douvlos@aol.com.

Cool

Hi there,

Its sounds serious *not sure though*...clicky/pulsating brakes ? so your brakes come on and go off ? just like ABS should but when they shouldnt ?

Normally ABS sensors fail in a fail-safe mode, ie the ABS is turned off.

Have it looked at quite soon, get them to plug the Select box in.. that should give you more info, it will run through the ABS diagnostic tests, testing the processor, the sensors, etc...

See what the garage has to say,

Cheers,

J.
