Cause of uneven brake pad wear?
Anyone know
Just replaced my pads today, and on the drivers side, pads are evenly worn
on the passenger side, one is evenly worn, the inside one, has worn at an angle, and there was about 4mm of pad at one end, and 1mm of pad at the other end
Edited to add, this happened on my old pads (OE Pads on OE Discs), this has happened to this set on DBA Gold Long Life discs, and DS2500 equivalent pads)
Any ideas ?
Steve

Its much cheaper to strip them , check the piston sides that they arn't corroded also that the seals haven't perished one way of checking is to remove the pads and caliper get a mate to push gently on the brake pedal and watch the pistons movement remember to put a piece of wood/ply thinner than your disk so that your pistons dont come out too far.

When I changed the pads yesterday, I had to push the pistons back in, to fit the new pads
I could push them in with my hands, and if you push one in far enough it pushes the other one out
Still stripping em down when I fit my braided hoses wont be a bad idea
Cheers
