Opinion on Avon ZZ3
Sorry if this has been discussed before but for the life of me I can't figure out how to search this forum for old posts.
I compete in a class of autocross where the only tire specs are a max width of 225 and UTOG rating of 140 or higher (not sure if you guys have UTOG on your tires but basically it's a rating the manufacturer puts on the tire that is supposed to roughly equate to lifetime in miles x 100). The current top tires used are the Falken Azenis RS, BFG g-Force T/A KD and the Kumho Ecsta MX which are all Summer only performance street tires. I was hoping to find something not usually available in the states to give me a little competitive advantage.
At some point John Felstead pointed me at the Avon website and I noticed they have a line of street tires and the ZZ3 looks like the best one, has a UTOG of over 140 and comes in plenty of scooby friendly sizes. So the question is what do people think of these? Would they compare to the previously mentioned top tires (not sure if you guys have access to those). Any other recommendations for Summer only performance street tires?
Bigfork - Ex-pat long enough to spell tires with an "i"

Hi
I have had a set on test for 7000 miles now and must admit I am really pleased with them
Previous fan of Toyo T1 Proxes but the ZZ3's IMHO are an equal Tyre
