Geoff , You wont get one in a 'hurry' from anyone as we modify them quite a bit to suit this aplication.

Default Sticking caliper

Ian, I need a new left side caliper, but the car is used daily. So can you send me one and I'll return my old one when new is fitted. Also, How much.

Geoff, I've been asking Ian for another left side caliper since September last year when I discovered mine were leaking that nice brake fluid all over the place. Problem still isn't sorted to this day, so don't hold your breath for a new one, but...Ian has agreed he will fix the brakes so long as I travel to Wales where he can fix on the day. Will be doing this shortly so hopefully all will be fine after Ian's messed around with it.

Alex , I havent told you to drive to Wales , thats your choice ,I told you if was leaking dont drive it and send me the caliper , I would sort it that day and sends it straight back to you , back in september , it would have only taken a couple of days but you said it had stopped leaking , I told you it was dangerous to drive if it leaks , but it is dragging on and on where as it could have been done staight away ,

Ian, I wasn't saying I wasn't treated fairly, and if you remember I explained that I couldn't afford to be without a car (as is the case for most people) so sending them back wasn't an option, and also that 3 days was a bit optimistic IMHO.

All I was saying to Geoff was that if he wanted a new caliper he would likely be waiting a while because after you agreed to send me another set, I haven't received any since then, so Geoff will most likely be waiting a while as well this is all I was saying.

The reason I am slightly peeved though, is that you still haven't sent caliper bolts to the correct length (supplied ones were too short for the nut to go on as I mentioned back in September) so I'm still using B&Q grade 8.8s which I cut to length myself. And the spacers I had to grind down myself as well, which is not a short or easy process if you're not prepared. It's just a bit dissapointing being as they are sold as a 'kit' with no warning that some work might be necessary.

Having said all that I'm happy with travelling to Wales to get them sorted, I don't mind driving over there if it means my car isn't off the road. Presumably this is still ok?
