What do you lads do if you have a puncture with 18" on because the standard 16" space saver will be slightly different in size. Which could **** the diff up. can you get a 18" space saver. I know some P1`s come with 18" on

what is the biggest size spare that would fit in boot?
never looked at mine, but it would be a good idea to get a matching spare

once got a puncture in my old escort which had 17's on it, my spare was a 14 inch steely rim. I had an entertaining drive to the tyre shop with an un-even car

A 215-35/18 tyre has the same rolling radius as the standard 205-50/16 tyre so there should be no problem with useing the space saver at all.

Correct. That's one of the reasons why the spacesaver has a 50mph limit, and why it's strictly a "get you home" device.

FWIW though, you can fit a full size, larger diameter tyre into the spare wheel well if you want to, although obviously it'll protrude into the boot area, rather than sit entirely in the well like the spacesaver does.
