Question

Just fitted my 335mm Godspeed kit and have felt a considerable difference in the front end feel.
Has any one else had this experience? And if so have you done anything about it?

I noticed this, and put it down to the fact that the alloy bell spaces out the wheel more than the standard disc to allow clearance for the 335mm disc behind most 17" wheels. It just wasnt a problem although, initially did feel a little different.

I think you'll find that the feel is simply due to the heavier disc that makes the steering feel a bit heavier, personally I like that feel, it makes it feel more stable, the wheel is actually only about 2-3mm further out than standard, so unless you're an F1 driver I don't think most would be able to notice that!

Yes they are a bit heavier than the standard discs , looking twice as big it should be expected , the wheel will come out about 2mm more as we do make the face of the bell slightly thicker to fit under all 17" wheels.

But the braking power will far outwiegh any other factors

Like you say your just too darn sensitive

Cheers Ian

I've notice a difference since fitting the 335mm kit too. Im definatley with Ron tho that it has made a positive effect. Fantastic brakes for the money .

Just need to get rid of the universal spacers now for some nice custom ones from Ian (5 holes not 4 tho Ian ).

Tony.

I'm sure the feel has more to do with the giroscpic efect of the disc weight, I like!

I found this too, WRX 03 Godspeed 335 kit but it gives the car a much more positive feel in the straight ahead driving position. The only draw back I had was the on very bumpy roads at speed the front suspension would bottom out on the bump stops, but a set of lowered springs has sorted this out. The Godspeed kit is bloody fantastic even my local dealer commented on how nice they looked and what fantastic pedal feel and stopping power they gave.

Ian can you do me a favour what is the difference in weight between your 300mm big REAR brake kit and your standard replacement REAR discs please. Both to be grooved and cross drilled.

Many thanks

John
