While we are at it, are the 4-pot AP/Brembo kits that fit in the 16" OE wheels (Classic shape Impreza) any good compared to the 330mm kits that require the 17"???

Pitzi, see my reply to your other post - you'll have no problems with the AP kit for 16in wheels.
But you will have trouble getting much money off AP stuff. It's pukka gear and they don't need to give it away. Check out the AP Racing website for details of distributors who in turn will put you in touch with a retailer. In the UK, Scoobymania are popular suppliers. Speak to Mike Tuckwood.
Final thing - make sure you get an official AP kit and not a third party kit put together using different AP parts to gain a price advantage. In paticular, you want the 48-vane grooved two-piece discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads.
Ricard.

Thanks Ricard, I can get a set of 330mm discs with 6-pots (all AP stuff) with hoses and fluid for GBP1500 including the freight to SA (which should be around GBP200 at my guesstimate) should I go for it??
My problem is still with the 17" though.
decisions decisions......
