Unhappy

Anyone else had problems with the sidewalls of Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3's? I put my '98 Type R off the road for the winter recently and took the wheels off to get cleaned. One of the tyres has a bad bulge to the sidewall (inner). Has anyone else had this problem and where do you stand with an issue like this?

There have been a few bad batches and some people have posted up on here with problem's of side wall's splitting...

Take it back to your tyre fitter who will return the tyre to Goodyear for investigation.

Cheers

Thumbs up

Cheers Si.
Out of interest would it be a case of Goodyear / supplier providing a couple of new tyres or just the one (then me buying new ones)? Or would all of this depend on what Goodyear found when the tyre was returned?

Cheers

Legally, they would be obliged to replace just one tyre. Personally, I'd been looking for at least 2, possibly 4 depending on the wear on them.

Red face

Cheers Stefan,

I have only covered 4500 - maybe 5000 miles since I bought them last March and they look in pretty good condition. The least I was hoping for was two new tyres and like you say preferably four. I suppose it will depend on my supplier / the opinion of Goodyear, but I should at least get a new tyre?

Cheers

Sean, yes I would expect the to replace the faulty tyre at the very least.
