Silly question probably but does an alloy refurb get them looking like new again, i.e gets rid of scuffs and scrapes too?

If so how much is normal per corner and does anyone know of a company in the North West/Merseyside/Manchester

Cheers

I've a mate who refurbs alloys in Great Harwood nr Blackburn.
He charges around £45 per corner - less if its only small scraps etc.
TBH if its only light damage you can do it yourself for next to nothing.
There's a kit in Halfrauds for around £25 (not used it myself) or just buy wet & dry (medium & fine),a can of brake cleaner, a can of primer,a can of silver /gold paint and a can of laquer.

Rub the damaged areas down until blended in (fill first if you have to), remove tar /grime etc with wet & dry while your at it.
Clean with brake cleaner.
Spray several fine coats of primer until covered then repeat with silver then laquer (wait for coats to dry in between).
Its as easy as that.
I'm in the middle of doing mine at the moment, they only have very minor damage but are coming up like new - not bad for a couple of hours a wheel.

Thanks for the info, would consider doing it myself if I cant find a suitable place.

Ive seen on the web an advert for Wicked Wheels, I seem to remember other people on bbs recommending them, is this correct, anyone out there used this company. They are mobile and charge under £50 a wheel. Any comments peeps

Cheers

Kitchen, spare bedroom with loads of newspaper for the overspray or wait for summer, then do it on the patio with a few tinnies

Thumbs up

Had my set of 17" TSW Reflex wheels refurbed recently. Got rid of all kerbing and scratches, painted them a gun-metal grey and lacquered them and they look like brand new wheels straight out of the box.

The cost £30 per wheel all in, well worth the cost mate although it has ben said that my white turbo wagon looks like a T5 due to the dark wheels.

I'm sure Oatcake can verify just how good the wheels are.

Give Lee Fallows a call of "AUTOSTYLE" on 07760-224832 or 01782-287228.

I promise that you will not be disappointed with the job and, please mention that Simon with the white scoob recommended him as I'm going to get my skirts re-done next year and the more I pass on the beter the price will be I guess.

Regards

Skoosh.

Try Proclean, in Prescot, Merseyside - 0151 426 1885, www.procleanalloys.co.uk.
They do a top job by all accounts, at reasonable prices, and have done several scoobs. I will be going there myself in the New Year.
