Hardly a new topic, but I would appreciate viewes on the improvement which Prodrive wheels and Pirelli tyres might bring. I will need to replace the original Bridgestones after Christmas,so the option to up grade beckons, but is it worth the expenditure?

Question

Do you lose any performance with the 18s?

According to Prodrive from what I recall, upgrading to 18's is a good thing.

Thumbs up

that'll be like this then

which makes it look like this

the Prodrive 18" wheel is substantially lighter than the standard STi wheel, so unsprung weight is decreased. Prodrive springs drop the car about 22mm, which apart from the asthetics also seems to remove some of the low speed chop from the ride. I've been in a few standard cars, and none of them are as settled as mine on the road. Well worth doing IMHO
