Anybody help me out with the above? Looking at buying some wheels that were once on a 1994 model you see

'94' wheels are almost certainly 15's, so WON'T fit, however, the 16's that were on the 98's, 99's and 2000's will! so long as it's not an STI with the Brembo's. then they won't either, but som long as you're using the standard four pots, then 16's will fit.
