And NO not incontinence pads - you tax payers pay for those, thanks!
Just had my service and have been told pads will need replacing on the front in the next 1000miles or so. The Subaru Dealer wants £159 to do them - or £118 for pads supply only.
Horrified I have contacted a motor parts place and they have quoted me £25 and have them on the shelf!!?? they are made by APEC and brake pads these days have to be as good as OE under a EU directive, he says - so they are equivalent to standards pads.
Are APEC any good? I am NOT rough on my pads - these have lasted 46,000miles! So I don't want fast road or anything like that.
Anything I should be aware of?
Is it an easy job? Any sites that explain how to do it? anything special to look for?
Cheers all!
Pete
