New STI7/8 Pad retaining clips???

After a discussion with my dealer about the brakes on my STI7 (seem to lack initial bite) he has told me that the next time it is in he will put some new pad retaining clips that Subaru have developed for a problem that could effect some STI's??
Anybody know anything about these??
