i have got a 1999 uk turbo with oz super t's wearing toyo's.
the tyres have been on the car for a good while and although they are not too worn tread-wise the edges of the tyre are cracking quite badly.
i had a flat yesterday and figured it's new tyre time all round.
i took the flat off (front drivers side wheel) and the inside has a massive groove worn nearly all the way around through to the metal on the tyre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can't see any signs of where it has rubbed against but it really looks as though it has been rubbing against something..maybe the shock absorber... :-(
does this mean the tracking is way out or is it something more serious?
any advise guys ?
i have ordered two bridgestones for the front ..2 for the back next month, and i don't wanna wreck my new tyres.

Hi there, what size wheels and tyres have you and what offset?
If it has rubbed like that then there should be a corresponding shiney edge or such in the wheelarch, sounds daft but work out the diameter of the worn bit of tyre and have a look at the corresponding bit of wheelarch - not written well but i hope you get the gist.
