Ive fitted new disks and pads to the back of my car today and ive just been out for a test drive and noticed the ABS light on.
When i stamp on the brake peddle the wheels lock up so it looks as though the ABS isnt working.
When i was removing the rear disks i had alot of trouble with one side and ended up cracking the disk off with a hammer
The new disks and pads went on fine (didnt put new shoes on), but i didnt bleed the rears just pumped the peddle untill it was firm.
Its to late now to have a look again but has anyone go any ideas for when i start again tomorrow ??

Have you damaged the ABS sensor or wiring on the rear discs ? The sensor points at the teeth in the rear hub. I'd guess if this has been moved/broken it will be unable to count the teeth as the wheel rotates and the light comes on.

Ive just had a look at the service manual to see how it all works, like you said i think ive probably mooved a sensor or broke a wire.
At least i know where to start tomorrow .......and the misses thought i was going to be decorating tomorrow

Sorted my problem, when i was taking the near side read disk off the pads came away with the disk to start with untill i took a hammer to the disk and smashed it off
When the pads originaly came with the disk they broke the end off the ABS sensor
Anyway ive now removed the sensor and plan a quick trip to grade A tomorrow morning to sort out my ham fisted attempts of getting the disk off
