Upgrading brakes and pads!
#2
Just upgraded my 4-pots to Group N disks, Ferodo pads and Goodridge braided lines.
Huge improvement over OE! Had them on three weeks now and they seem to get better and better.

Agree that Alyn is a good guy to use but also give Jamie a call at JW-Racing as he did me a great deal on the DBA disc's and Ferodo DS2500 pads on my MY01 which are excellent.
I've fitted 3 sets to other cars (all MY01's)and they all rate the combination.

You could also give Performance Braking a try on 01600 713117. They're the best place in the country!
Edited to say that if you are sticking with the standard Subaru four pot front calipers, IMO it is not worth bothering with aftermarket "Group N+" type discs as there are barely any performance/durability benefits (in some ways durability is worse) - certainly not enough to justify them being around three times the price of a good pair of OE spec discs.
Going for a good set of Pagid RS4-2.1, Mintex 1155 or Ferodo DS2500 pads, plus braided brake lines and high temperature fluid with the OE discs will make a hell of a difference. If you need more stopping power than that, you're really looking at a larger diameter brake kit.
