Front brake pad fitting
I've just bought a set of Pagid 'blacks' for the front end of my 2000MY turbo (standard 4 pot jobbies) and want to fit them myself. The job looks simple enough, but how crucial is it that I get the nuts and bolts and stuff tightened to the correct torque?
Any advice apreciated.

the only nuts that you have to torque should be the wheel nuts (65-70lbs/ft)......
to remove the pads simply take the small metal spring clip of the rear of the two pins, knock out pins to release the pads and anti-rattle shims.........fit new pads (applying copperslip to rear of pads & ideally cleaning out pad guides in caliper) and pop the pins, etc. as originally..........
hope this very abbreviated pointer helps,

Cheers Alyn. Aren't you the guy I bought them from (ASPerformance)?
Hoping to fit them this weekend. I've only looked at the relevant page in the service manual so far, haven't had a proper look at the calipers themselves. Looks a much simpler job than with my previous cars.
