yes there's alternatives by going for some 3rd-part pads from Ferodo, Mintex, etc.. You could fit them yourself (or any garage could do it for you). An hours work at the most.
I'm sure someone can tell you which exact pads will fit your Alcon caliper.

the subaru pads tend to use Ferodo materials anyway.......we have found that switching to Pagid materials (and rs19 "yellow") in particular has a good impact on extending disc life compared to most other manufacturers..........E1595 is the correct no. and we could supply for considerably less than you have been quoted by subaru.......
