Big brake kit differences
#1
Can anyone tell me the major 'performance' differences between:
Prodrive 330mm Big Brake Kit (4 pot only I think)
Scoobysport KAD 330mm kit
Standard KAD 330 kit
There is only a price difference of about £200 between these kits when fitted...

Don't worry that one system has 4-pots whilst another has 6. The total number of pots doesn't automatically make them better performers. A great 4-pot kit (like the AP's) may apply a greater braking force and feel than a cheaper 6-pot setup.
Anyway, the only HUGE downside with the Prodrive kit is the simple fact that their discs are single castings, whereas 99% of other big kits use seperate ally bells and discs.
That alone put me off the Prodrive kit.
I ended up with the Godspeed kit on my std 4-pots simply coz I couldn't justify the extra expense since I never do any trackdays (and have no intention of doing any).
