Think on the previous occasions this has come up, the consensus was that that simply disabling the ABS actually made things worse, as the "proper" non-ABS cars have different master cylinders and other changes.

So, while you can remove the ABS pump without too much problem, you need to change other stuff before you end up at the same point as a car that came without ABS from the factory.

I'm sure David W has explored the possibilities on this one, so maybe either hit Search or zap him an email?

Question

is it a worthwhile mod removing(rather than disabaling) the abs to get better brake performance/feel?

i accept that modern systems will stop a car quicker but mine is not that modern(1994) and whilst i can threshold brake, when i over step the mark the abs's activation is harsh and seems to try its best to upset the cars ballance especially mid corner or on a broken surface so would it be a good idea to bypass the pump with new pipes?

all thoughts appreciated.
