Thumbs up

Decided it was about time I got some tyres and fitted my STi wheels this week, so phoned around the local prices.

I was gonna give Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s a go, and Harris Brothers in Fforestfach said they could do them in 205/50/16 for £57 each including fitting and balancing - a quid cheaper than I'd seen them online for just the tyre!

So went down there, they got the car up on jacks, took the old wheels off, then realised their stocktake must be wrong, as although the computer showed 4 tyres, but they only had 2. It was already afternoon, so they wouldn't be able to get any in till the next day.

So to make up for it they did me a deal on some Eagle F1 GSD3s
I think they said they're normally £82 +VAT each, but because of the ****-up with the Kumhos they knocked them down to about £72 +VAT each for me.
So a set of 4 new GSD3s, supplied fitted and balanced for £340.
Plus they're very friendly chaps, who were very interested in the car, despite it being "only a sport"
Well impressed. Would recommend them to anyone in the South Wales area.

The car as it is with the new wheels:
