tyres sizes?
#1
Hi
Im looking for somewhere in B,ham area to get a full set of tyres as mine are ready for changing,so if anyone knows anywhere localish in mids that are decently priced, that would be appreciated.
But my question is about the 2different sizes fitted 205/215s.
Im currently running 205 and read that 215s are the correct size fitment for classic scoobs.I have 17s speedlines and will buy the 215s if they are the beeter fitment.
The only problem is,i read a reply to a thread saying that the 215s will fit ok but the handling will be another story?
Is this correct before i shell out money on the incorrect size and regret it.
Apologies for the longwindedness.(is that a word?)
Regards
Gene

Scooby Regular
You can fit 215/40 17's or 205/45 17's they are a very simalar size.
Not that many manufactures make 205/45's there is a better selection of tyres in the 215/40 size.
Handling should not be effected either way.
Hope that clears that up
