I know strange title.
i want to jack the front of the car up to check for disc run out, so if the backs are still on the ground will i be able to rotate the front wheels by hand , uk MY00.

Only if both wheels are up, if they are, the 'free' front diff will allow you to spin the wheels, but if you only jack one side up, you shouldn't be able to spin the wheels.
