I have 16inch toyos on all wheels yet measuring the alloys today I was shocked to find the wheels are actually 17inch in diameter. They're the 5 spoke STI gold wheels.

Yet the tyres fit perfectly!

Can someone please explain?

The tyres measurement is from bead!, which is behind the rim on the wheels, there is normally about 1/2 inch all around, so I guess you could be right, but the distance between the tyre beads is still 16 inches!!
