Following the nightmare with Crossroads I was wondering whether anyone would be interested in a group buy for Goodyear F1 GSD3 (ONLY). Have spoken with one mail order supplier (Black Circles) who would be interested in doing something.
Therefore anyone interested please add name to list and add how many tyres needed. I will then post further details, ie price and payment method.

Hi ScoobySnack
I hope to get them cheaper than that. I am awaiting an email from Black Circles to agree a price and minimum order amount.
Will post details as soon as I get them.

Likewise - I need four 215/45/17's if price is good and they can be delivered, as I'm in Edinburgh. Still waiting for Crossroads to come back after tyres were promised at £230 for set including delivery, but having same wait as everyone else, and now getting to the illegal stage.

Did you pay Crossroads by credit card?? I also have been waiting for my tyres to arrive and after loads of phone calls and leaving loads of messages (un-replied) Anyway I got my VISA bill in the other day and I noticed that Crossroads had credited me back my £230 .. no phone call or email to tell me Grrrrrrrrrr... SO my point is if you paid by credit card check your statement..
I have now found another supplier for the F1's GSD3 @ £71.95 + vat per corner...
Good luck

I rang round 3 tyre places in Yeovil, Somerset for 205/50 16 GSD3s and 2 of the 3 dealers quoted £86 inc valves/balance/fitting. Micheldever tyres in Hampshire quoted £85.23 all in.
So I am not trying to poo-poo your fine efforts but the price for the 205/50 16s is not that tempting once you have paid for fitting etc!
Perhaps I will have to keep waiting for Crossroad to deliver....

fair enough guys, I'll speak again with Steve on Monday and tell him he needs to do much better pricing if we are going to send him any business.
Thanks for the updates.

Steve at Black Circles did me a deal last week on 4 x 215/40/17ZR GSD3's on Wednesday. I think it depends what they get in and at what price.
Why dont we use our 'buying power' and have AQUA negociate on our behalf!?
AQUA you can put me down for a set of 215/40/17ZR GSD3's - how cheap can you get them???

I agree, I would go to Black Circles and say what we want them for or no business. Crossroad Garage would do 205/50 16 GSD3s delivered for £230, but unfortuantely they seem to have an inability to be realistic about deliveries, my local suppliers in Yeovil will supply 4 fitted/balanced etc inc VAT for £330, so if you could get them delivered for say £240 I would go for it, any more and it is not worth the hassle. Good luck and thanks for taking a lead in this....

"Surely my local tyre chaps aren't going to be interested in fitting them?"
Why not? It's part of what they are there for.
Must admit they did suck through their teeth and shake their heads when I asked them to put the semi-slick rear tyres on the Exige rims as they are very stiff sidewalls and take quite an effort, but they still managed it ok.

sorry guys, but I've had to scrub this Buy. I did speak with Steve but regretably he was unable to do a better price (although he has been watching the tyre threads and knows what people want). However, he is going to speak with his suppliers for better pricing next time.
Sorry.........
