Managed to lose my locking wheel nut key, so had mine 'removed' yesterday.

Anyone reccommend some good ones or shall I stick with the standard Subaru ones that come on the car?

Thumbs up

Think the std Subaru ones are Mcgard, which are probably the best you can buy, set costs about £30 (might be cheaper from Subaru dealer - oddly enough !).

Hi Ed,

I bought two sets from Tileys in Bristol last week which cost about £17 per set from memory. They're fine for me.

Ask for Phil in the Service Dept - a very helpful chap

Cheers

Jerome

The original nuts on my classic defo aren't McGuard. My local Halfords (yeah, I know) have just started stocking McGuard and have some nice extra light ones among the various types.

My old ones needed cutting off too - they had three raised ridges on them (y formation). I just replaced them with newer Subaru ones and they are much better. The have a sort of flower pattern on the nut for the key to fit in - much less chance of shearing the metal off. Cost about £25 IIRC.

Simon.
