On monday my RB5 went to my local scooby dealer to have the front discs upgraded to drilled and grooved. Same diameter. I have now done 120 slow driving/braking miles and they are sweaking on light brake preasure just before the car stops and also when braking going backwards. The service manager is telling me now (after the instailation) that this is very normal. He said the STI's do it! Is this right? ? He's comment was that the manufactures are interested in the stopping power not the noise level.
Please give me your comments as i'm pi$$ed off already.

Thanks Adam

could actually be because although the disc will be bedded-in like this, during this period no heat is put into the pad and therfore the pad (if its an uprated material) may not bed-in properly.........once you've finished bedding the discs (normally 150-200miles) then carry out a full heating / cooling cycle to bed in the pads correctly (again dependant on material / manufacturer)
whoever supplied them should have informed you of the correct procedure!!
