I want to get the OEM wheels into a gold colour on min budget - shot blast and DIY spray and laquer seems to be the best way to do it.

Now where can I get them shot blasted from?

(PS - tried the paint stripper route, too painful )

How tight is the budget? IMHO it wouldn't cost you much more to get them done professionally. By the time you pay for them to be shot blasted, then buy primer, paint and lacquer, which I'd imagine you'll need lots of (3 coats per wheel of both paint and lacquer) I doubt you'll be saving much. And thats provided the finish lasts. If you have to do them again after the winter...

Not off the top of my head. Do a search and I'm pretty sure you'll come up with half a dozon options.

I used Spit and Pollish, who are based in Tunbridge, Kent, but they have agents throughout W London where you can drop wheels off. Pristine, in Milton Keynes have a similar arrangement. Both of the above were recommended to me.

Mine are 17"s, and cost just under £45 each, but that was for a complete refurb including repairing curb marks (one or two deep ones). 16"s will be cheaper, and for a straightforward repaint you should be able to negotiate a more acceptable price. Get it down to £35 per wheel and you're not too far from your budget.

Try Lepsons in Gillingham, Kent. Their number is 01634 580582. I don't know how good they are, but they might be able to help you out.
