Steering vibration

Just had 4 new tyres fitted. Have "run them in" for 100 miles and took car on motorway the other day. At 90mph there is a slight vibration but you can accelerate out of it. Is this balancing ? I thought a badly balanced wheel would vibrate at 50-55 then again at 90-100? Could it be a defective "oval" tyre ??

Sounds like balancing...mine does it also. I'm gonna have the re-checked, suggest you do the same!

Balance! Usually shows up between 70-80mph. Braking makes it worse, loading up the suspension and spreading the wobble over a wider speed range, making you suspect dodgy discs. Accellerating makes it less apparent - less weight on the fronts.
