Question

My silver STi8 is arriving at the beginning of March, but am not too keen on the gold wheels.

One option is to get them re-coated - preferably in Anthractite.

The alternative is to put entirely new wheels on. I had a look on the Subaru web site and they only have 18" wheels on there for the STi.

Ideally I would like the Oz 10 spoke wheels (17") in anthractite - does anyone know if these are available on the new STi?

Are there any other wheels I should be looking in to?

Cheers
Peter

17" probably will not clear the calipers, this is why they only offer 18" for the STi. If you want to keep 17" then just get them powder coated

Peter,

I the same position myself...dont really like the gold wheels on my black STI8 which arrives soon.

All the feedback that I've got seems to confirm that the size of the Brembo calipers mean that its either the original 17's or the 18 upgrade, hence I'm looking at the 18 inch crystal OZs, or getting them resprayed.

Regards

Gareth

I think I will have to do the same. Quite fancy the 18" OZ 10 spoke - again, would have to get them in anthracite though.

You can get the 10 spoke (P1 lookalike) in anthracite for the STI..you must ensure they are the STI fitment though as P1(classic) fit is different. Dealers want up to £1800(list) for them, but some may offer them cheaper. The 7 spokes I have on my sti8 are a lighter wheel, also come in a gunmetal/anthracite colour and IMO suit the car better..I;d suggest going down to your friendly dealer and asking to see both styles. Otherwise the superlegarra also comes in sizes to suit..another lightweight wheel and cheaper...
See SammyH(IIRC) in for sale for an example.
I like gold though
