Hi

I want to change the brake fluid and wanted a few pointers.

How much fluid do u need for a full system flush?

What order do u bleed the system. ie furthest wheel from master cylinder 1st?

I want to use Silkolene pro race fluid - how long will it last for??

Any help appreciated

Cheers

normally i would use a large syringe to withdraw most of the old fluid from the resevoir (leave the outlets just covered so that no air is allowed in), fill resevoir with fresh fluid, then commence - the brakes run a "split" system so start with N/S/F, O/S/R, O/S/F & N/S/R, keep a check on resevoir and make sure it does not empty.
do each caliper until clean fluid flows thro' nipple.

we normally recomend bleeding the system annually, however if you do any "hard use" like trackdays......then bleed immediately after to flush out the heated fluid!

you'll require about 1litre (poss 1.5) depending on how efficently you bleed the system...

any further advice feel free to email me,
