I'm expecting my STi8 in early March, but really want to find a cost/time/hassle effective way of changing the wheels from gold to silver.

The standard WRX wheels look great, especially in the new MY03 colour, but won't fit over the STi brakes - so I need to stay with the STi 8 wheels, but have thought about changing the colour.

Been quoted something like 80 quid a wheel to powder coat them - Is this good, 'cus it seems pretty steep to me?????

Hassle factor is a big plus - As I have no real way of taking all four wheels off the car and then shipping them somewhere, so if I could find somewhere that I could "drive in gold and drive out silver" it would be much better.

They will obviously be new wheels, so don't need any sort of refurb - just changing colour!

Anyone done this before, or got any ideas as to what to do?

Thanks

Shades

There are loads of ally wheel places which will do your wheel in any colour you want. Prices seem to vary between £25 and £40 per wheel. I've seen a set done for £140 all in and they looked as new.
