Can anyone give me some advice on lightweight alloys for a MY02 WRX? I want to reduce the unsprung weight of the car as much as poss, and stick to 17s so as not to compromise ride etc.
Anyone know the weight of the standard 02 wheel? I notice the S202 is 140kg lighter and a lot of that is from switching to forged alloys...

Reducing unsprung weight is always good, but don't expect spectacular handling improvements on a road/track car. And if you manage to lose a significant amount, say 15kgs per corner, you might need to modify/replace the suspension.
Biggest weight saving is swapping those massive steel calipers for alloy. Then some mega-expensive mag wheels
I'd have a chat with Peter Croney at ScoobySport (with apologies to other knowledgeable peeps that I don't know so well ).
Richard.
