I know its a stupid question, but can you use the "get you home wheel" that comes with a standards MY2000 classic, IF you have 17 inch wheels fitted?

What do you do otherwise?

I had a set of P1 wheels in 17", ditched the space saver and put a spare 17" wheel in there, you could just get a cheap single 17" wheel of any variety and put that in, personally I wouldnt use the space saver with 17"'s, at least if you had a spare 17" you could get home at 'normal' speeds.

TBMeech - the bug eyes have 17" with a space saver as standard. I'd prefer a full sized wheel but this does mean it should be ok to run on the space saver (assuming it's the same size as the bug eye).

Swan,

Sorry mate you missed my point or I didnt explain myself properly (No change there! lol).

I meant to say the space saver you are restriced to sub 50mph speeds on the way home if you use it, personally i'd rather splash out a little on a spare 17" with something like a Pirelli Asymetrico tyre on there and at least you can get home at normal speeds.
