Question

One of my discs has cracked all the way, from the outer edge to the hub!

I need to replace them urgently, but I'm not sure what I should go for.

Any ideas?

4-pots btw!

Cheers

Steve.

Depends on Budget. I fitted Bremsport Group N's to my MY00. Just over £100 including VAT and carriage for a pair from TAS http://www.tas.uk.com/index.asp They are mainly a trade motorsport parts supplier.

Cheers,

Ian.

Pagid 8 groove if you want something that'll resist a bit of heat, got them on my MY00 Turbo, they've been superb on both road and track. Got 'em from Performance Braking, and a damn sight cheaper than the subaru 'specialists' quote for the same discs (listed as Group N+ by others, even though there's no such thing!).

Ring them on 01600 713117 and ask for John or Jill.

Exclamation

Steve, I thought that all GrpN were basically the same material and in my opinion probably just as likely to crack as yours did. The only real option is to get seperate discs and bells. If you can't wait or can't afford it then just get some cheapo replacements until you can. I've heard that Black Diamond are quite good (well, look nice anyway!).

Steve, ive fitted some Black Diamond grooved/drilled to my STi V, have to say that they perform very well although bedding them in without warping is a nightmare as mine have a slightest off warps going from 5-0mph, & they dont seem to be getting any worse but by christ they stop you alright with some mintex pads in!!

Take stockcars advice.
Got a set of pagid 8 groove and 2500 pads and they are great.
They work very well cold as well as hot.
Just ordering some for rear now.

NOT ALL THE SAME........
proper "grpN" discs are made using virgin material and high quality castings.........

Well I put on my car what I sell

I've Black Diamond Combis front and rear with Black Diamond's Predator pads on front and Green Stuff on the rear (yes, they're Ok there!).

Car's a 260bhp (+ a bit) Sti2 and I'm perfectly happy with its stopping ability now
